Giving Back

At Walkinshaw Partners, giving back has always been at the heart of what we do. Our roots in Dufferin County run deep, and we are proud to actively support local organizations that make this community such a special place to call home.

John Walkinshaw has been a lifelong supporter of Highlands Youth Unlimited, serving as Chair of the Board of Directors, while Carley contributes her time and creativity as a committee member for fundraising events which include our annual Golf Tournament and Gala dinner. Together, they are committed to helping youth thrive through mentorship, opportunity, and hope.

Faith and community also guide John’s leadership. He has served as an Elder at Compass Community Church and as a board member of the Orangeville Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast. Each year, you’ll also find our team as major sponsors, fundraisers, and volunteers at the Compass Run for Food, an event that provides vital support to local food banks and school breakfast programs in Orangeville, Mono, Shelburne, and across Dufferin County. The Compass Run has given $596,000 to feed kids and families, with over 7000 runners participating in this incredible event.

We also believe in making the holidays brighter for children in need. Every December, we host a Toys for Tots drive, collecting gifts for families across the region.

Beyond volunteering, Walkinshaw Partners proudly contribute through sponsorships and financial support for organizations such as Orangeville Flyers minor hockey, the Headwaters Health Care Foundation, and a variety of local and global charities. Whether through time, resources, or advocacy, our goal is always the same: to invest in people and strengthen the community we love.
