This experience ultimately lead him in 2014 to a career in Real Estate where he has helped hundreds of people buy & sell real estate; commercial, residential, farm and vacant land.

John works primarily out of the Dufferin County (Orangeville, Shelburne, Amaranth, Caledon) area but has worked in an area of about 100km around that base due to a significant internet presence.

With nearly 10 years of dedicated experience in the real estate industry, Carley has cultivated an impressive depth of knowledge and expertise, making her a standout professional in her field. A Wilfrid Laurier University graduate with a past of being a past business manager at a painting company, Carley seamlessly transitioned into real estate. Since 2015, Carley has worked in the real estate industry beginning as John’s Administrative Assistant to becoming a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in 2019.  

Her passion for real estate ignited at a young age, having purchased her first home at just 18. This early achievement solidified her commitment to property investments and set the stage for a successful career. Prior to entering real estate, Carley excelled in a painting business where her exceptional sales skills and unwavering work ethic pleased numerous clients. Over the years Carley has purchased and sold various properties of her own and has an impressive real estate portfolio which allows a depth of knowledge that she uses to help her clients when buying and selling. Laura brings a dynamic blend of organization, creativity, and leadership experience to her role as Executive Director of our team. Laura holds a degree in Business Administration, from Wilfrid Laurier University's Lazaridis School of Business.

During her time at Laurier, Laura honed her entrepreneurial skills by running a successful painting business in the picturesque Muskoka region. She managed a team of painters, handled client interactions, and oversaw project execution, providing her with invaluable insights into the intricacies of client service and operational efficiency.

Before starting with Walkinshaw Partners in 2020, Laura was living and working in Europe, where she vlogged her travels and began the Laura The Explorer educational YouTube channel. She now uses those creative skills to create our engaging property walk-through videos and social media reels.

Laura is passionate about a variety of real estate investment types and purchased her first student rental property in Waterloo during university and now owns a successful short-term rental waterfront cottage in Bracebridge.

In her current role, Laura oversees the day-to-day operations of our business, ensuring efficiency, innovation and creativity so that we can offer the best in the business service to our buyers and sellers while reaching our team goals. Laura's unique blend of business acumen, creative flair, and international perspective makes her an invaluable asset to our team.
